Why should I be surprised that a former president who authorized multiple drone strikes 3-days into his first term, would write something like this? Just performative "diplomatic" platitudes that drift us further from achieving peace in the Middle East. No mention of ceasefires, international human rights laws being violated, or even the right for Palestinians to exist. To think, I actually bought what you were selling when I voted for you in 2008--my 1st ever presidential election. I'm older. Wiser. More empathetic to what my country does to others across the globe.
